Community Programs

We want a better shared future for our community and believe one of our most important responsibilities is supporting the people we serve. We’re proud to offer a mall walking program and work together with the following partners to benefit our local community:

  • Feeding America
  • American Red Cross
  • Autism Speaks
  • Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center

The Power of Together

Never underestimate the power of community. By supporting one another, we keep our community thriving. The Mall in Columbia, together with its tenants, contractors, and vendors, employ nearly 4,100 people from our community. The center also provides support to our schools, local municipalities, county, and state through combined payroll, sales, utility and real estate tax contributions annually of nearly $53.5M.

Local Love

We’re more than a shopping center to our locals, we are the heartbeat of our hometown. Our local neighborhoods have been, and will continue to be, our focus. Here's what we’re doing to help our community.

  • Donating over 300 meals from local dining tenants to essential workers at Howard County General Hospital.
  • Co-hosting blood drive with the American Red Cross in support of Howard County General Hospital.
  • Collaborating with the Downtown Columbia Partnership to support all takeout, and delivery options from local restaurants.
  • Hosting an annual Girl Scout event for the past 36 years in partnership with our food retailers.
  • Supporting Howard County by providing space on-site for various events.
  • Hosting the annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser in partnership with Seasons 52 to support Grassroots Crisis Center.
  • Encouraging charitable giveback to children & teens in need through The Salvation Army Angel Tree display
  • Partnering with the Howard Hospital Foundation for the annual Holiday Gift Wrap fundrasier.
